Save the Date for Headwaters’ Annual Meeting

December 10: Headwaters Annual Membership Meeting

Headwaters welcomes you to join us on December 10 to connect with neighbors, catch up on Headwaters’ work, hear from some of the people who’ve helped us get here, and imagine what we might build together.

Plus food, of course!

Join Headwaters’ Membership

The annual meeting is open to the public, but membership gives you a voice in the governance of Headwaters Community Trust, including voting rights in the election of Directors.

Headwaters is a community land trust, and community participation is central to how we operate. Becoming a member is one way to help shape the organization's future and support our mission of keeping land and housing accessible to our communities.

Growing Headwaters’ Board

As Headwaters prepares to take on the redevelopment of the Sterling campus (more on that next!), we're seeking to grow our Board of Directors. The Board helps guide Headwaters' work, oversee its resources, and ensure the organization advances its mission responsibly and sustainably.

Any member can nominate themself or another member. Learn more and nominate →

Sterling Campus Update

Headwaters is continuing due diligence on the campus: evaluating the buildings, infrastructure, operating costs, and legal requirements for occupancy. So far, we're on track to close by the end of the year.

We know many of you are eager to hear what comes next, and we want to be transparent about the process and timeline as it evolves.

Long-term redevelopment planning requires a thorough understanding of the campus buildings, financial needs, and community priorities. We're partnering with Northern Forest Center to design an inclusive community engagement process, and contracting experts to support engineering and financial planning.

We hope to accommodate short-term community use as soon as possible, and we're preparing to hear your ideas! All short- and long-term proposals will be evaluated for community benefit, operational feasibility, and alignment with Headwaters' mission.

We've updated our website with more information about the project, our process, and how to get involved. Check it out →
